Summer Solstice
I found out yesterday the old friend Dana Hall passed away on Fathers Day, Sunday. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer in May just after he retired. What a rotten stroke of luck. His funeral is Friday in Escondito.
In the last year I have lost a number of friends and family. Barbara Anne M., Bob McC., Joel M., Rich S. Ed W. and now Dana. I think I have forgotten someone also. Losing a lot of friends here.
I worked on the engine Saturday. We blew out the firebox, flues and smokebox. Dirty work. I am taking this weekend off.
