High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Today is the last day of February, the 28th. It rained all night and we needed it. Today I have to get the baseball teams picture taken. I don't know if the field will be playable for practice.

Over the weekend we got killed by Los Al in a scrimmage. We only got three hits. We will need to get some batting practice. I have a game at Downey at 3 pm Friday and a doubleheader against Fountain Valley on Saturday.

My weight has dropped almost 20 pounds. I am exercising regularly and eating well. It is paying off nicely.

Last night we were rained out for softball so I went to the railroad club. I ran a PRR passenger train with K-4 on the point and an NYC mail-express train with a Niagara on the point. Real nice with the dummy couplers. I have to work on their lateral movement a bit.

MR's mom went home yesterday. It was a nice visit.

Sunday we have the wine tasting and Styx concert. On Monday we are going to the Rolling Stones concert.

I got paid today. Nice!

Very busy at work. The classes are fine and baseball seems to be OK also. We have our first scrimmage on Satuday the 25th at Los Al. This should be interesting. I finally got a bid on the parking lot at the Lodge. It seems reasonable.

On a sad note, Mac Maccarthy had a MC accident and banged himself up a bit. I guess he gets the turd. MR and I have been busy with social events. We have two concerts coming up, the Inaugural Ball, a wine tasting and who knows what else.

I am probably not going anywhere over Easter break. I have a game ont he 10th of April. The finances look fine also.

My physical was a success and I have lost 16 pounds. All-in-all good times.

Coaching the baseball team went well. In fact it went better than I thought it would. MR and I had a great weekend. I rode the MC's twice and we had dinner at the Ritz Sunday night with Dan and Gay. Monday night the BC won another softball game. All-in--all it was a very good weekend.

Work is going fine. All I need to find out is my blood work from the physical. The Lodge is going to be a pain next year with three new Trustees. My work is cut out for me.

What a week! I went back to work for the first time since June. The kids I have are cool. Only the best. One class has only 18 kids. The previous teacher didn't leave things like the CD's where anyone could find them. Monday night we won at softball. Tuesday I chilled at home with MR. Wednesday I went to the BW and hung out a bit. Thursday night MR had a meeting for the Inaugural Ball, I hung out in the bar. We are on the South Beach diet, I have lost about 12 pounds in 12 days. I miss my wine. Friday we hung out at the Lodge and yesterday I rode the FXR to the Huddle and Mother's. Other than work it was a pretty quiet week, Friday was our anniversary. We couldn't party because of the diet. We are going to the Ritz for Valentine's Day on the 12th. We will celebrate the anniversary, my birthday and V-Day all at once.
Today is the Super Bowl. We are going to Tom B's for the festivities. I have a doubleheader tomorrow night. Time to work our now
