High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

We had a really busy weekend. Friday we were at the Lodge decorating. On Saturday I went to the RR club to run some trains. I might lose that privledge tonight. The meeting at the club should be interesting. I rode the FXR after the club and went to the Inaugural Ball at the Lodge in the evening. It was fun. On Sunday we went to the Taste of HB at the Hyatt. It was really crowded. We ran into BW Julie and Lyndy. After that we looked for a car at the Chrysler dealer. MR really likes the PT Cruiser. I am torn between a regular engine and the turbo engine. I think I will get the regular since Kevin R thinks it will be really enough for us.

MR went to the doctor for a consulation on her eyes. This ought to be interesting.

The Yankees need to wake up.

I really had a great time in Yuma. Nice ride, good food, and mostly friendly people. BB was his usual self, self important. We rode from Corona to Indio, down 86s to I-8 and over to Yuma. We swam both days, rode to Algondes for lunch and dancing. The ride home was through Glimas. I slept very well last night.

Back to work today with 250 tardy. JE called the place unhappy. She is probably right. 43 days to go. Hurry up.

I led an AT run to the Palm Springs Air Museum on Saturday the 2nd. It worked out fine except I missed the off-ramp. Saw a P-51 Mustang do four passes over the field at 200 feet and 300+ mph. Wonderful! MR and I went to the baseball game last night. Great time. Called Pat B in Buffalo. He is engaged. Wow! The RR club lost it's lease on Monday. All-in-all a very eventful week
