Late April

I went to Yuma last weekend on the M/C. It rained all the way to Palm Springs or so. We rode out to Quartzite and then south to Yuma on US95. We stayed at the Howard Johnson's with the free happy hour. it was nice there. On Saturday we rode to the old prison and then over to the fairgrounds for a walk-around. After a nap we went to the 8th Street Saloon and the Elks Lodge. We went back to the Elk's Lodge for dinner and a second stop at the 8th St. We finished the night at the hotel parking lot. On Sunday we rode home via CA111 along the Salton Sea. I was a bit tired when I got home.

The GJ was busy with a bunch of criminal hearings and all the reports. It sure is nice not to go to the Elks Lodge in HB.

Mid-April

The GJ is going well. I have about 10 weeks left. We are going to Yuma on Friday. BH is going to drive the truck. DS may also go. I hope the weather holds up. The weekend was blah. We went out Friday evening to pub crawl. On Saturday I rode the FXR a bit. It was cold and windy. It also seems that the weather has played havoc with the NYY. Brittle SOB's. Softball is over for a couple of weeks. I am going to the railroad club tonight. This ought to be fun. Sunday I went to the Huddle with the AHOC and over to Dan and Gays's for a wine. MR and I watch the Soprano's later.

April 9

Tonight is the last game of spring ball. We are playing a pretty good team. We havn't hit in the last two games. We need a couple of weeks off. Tomorrow is my last night of work at the Lodge. Hooray! Other than that it was a nice weekend. MR and I went to San Diego to see Chris Bauer and Wade. Nice time in Pacific Beach (PB). We had lunch and it was nice. The traffic wasn't all too bad. On Sunday we went to Shepard's and Billy Mays for Easter cheer. The Sopranos resumed with a bit of action. It will be over in eight weeks. Not much else going on.

April 3

We sure have melted down in softball. Got our butts kicked twice in a row. JN is a pain. MR and I went to Beatty last weekend. It was a great time with all the group. We put on over 800 miles in three days. The bike ran great. The GJ is fine, with less then three months to go. Tonight is my last night as an officer in the Lodge. Yeaaa!!!!. Next Tuesday I will get the gift to the ER from the Lodge and that's all she wrote folks. Easter is coming next weekend and the family is getting together for a meal. MR's mom lost her last sister yesterday. Peg is the last of the Mohicans.
