High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Quite a weekend. I took AT to the Midway Museum and Jen and I rode to Border Field State Park. It is open and we can go on the 16th of September. Sunday morning I went to the swapmeet and later to Betty Haslett's for a farewell party. We ended up at King Neptune's for the Pryor group. A real busy weekend. Monday was OCCJ visit. Very interesting.
We lost at softball 7-5. I got a good 2-run double. Other than that, the world is good.

Yesterday was a killer day at the GJ. I sat for over 6 hours. It was really tough to stay awake. I hope all this visitation stuff ends soon. lat weekend was really busy. I painted on Saturday getting the trim primed. I called on the Dog Park treasurer job but no response. I rode down to Mothers and no one was there. On Sunday we were really busy. We manned a poker run station for the CHOC ride, saw Jessdica Counts at her home and went to King Neptunes for the music. Very busy. On Monday we won a pre-season game by forfeit. I slipped the Lodge on Tuesday, as did most of the planet. This Saturday is the Midway Museun run to San Diego. I hope that goes well. The Yanks sure beat up on Boston last weekend. We are going to the game on Friday night against the Yanks. We got tickets to the Rolling Stones for November 18th. Vacation is coming up.

I met with the OCTA people and rode MetroLink on Tuesday. Very satisfying. We won in softball on Monday night, but finished second in the league. The other team won the league by forfeiting. Rats! Tuesday night was a drag at the Lodge and I have a house/trustee meeting tonight. Tomorrow is Friday and I am looking forward to a good weekend. We have a luau and CHOC ride this weekend. Softball starts on Monday again.

We had a great meal last night at the Ritz. Yesterday I helped the AH with a MC at Betty Haslett's. Afterward I picked up all the CHOC ride stuff at Jennifer G's. It was her birthday so I had a glass of wine with her. I have an interesting week. I am meeting with OCTA today and riding MetroLink tomorrow. This should be fun. MR got me a mint green shirt to go with my blazer. The look!!. Saturday we went up to Cook's Corner for the CHOC ride. We ran into a couple of the AHOC and rode to Swallow's to listen to the John Pryor Group play "20th Century rock". An interesting idea! I have a busy week and I think I will not drink this week.

Well for the first time in 10 years I am not taking a long summer MC ride. Rats! This GJ stuff has really cramped our style. We are, however going to Boston on the 22nd of September for 10 days or so.

The weekend was great. We went to Perqs' on Friday night with Mo. A great R&R band played. They were at King Neptunes in Sunset Beach Sunday. Bob, Char, MR and I rode the MCs to Berth 55 and Mothers. We finished at KN's to the music. Great time.

We blew a softball game last night. Rats again.

We got tickets for The Who and will be getting them for the RS tomorrow. November is going to be fun with the trip to Inferno Gulch and all.

The GJ is starting to move along better now. We had a full week last week. The weather is a bit cooler and the nights are great. Tonight the Lodge votes on the dues increase. It will probably fail. One swirl closer to the drain. Softball is fine. We are in the hunt. We won last night 9-1. I would have pitched a shutout but a mental error by the six position cost us a run. We move Wendy on Saturday. She could use a garage sale. On Sunday we folded t-shirts. Moving on.
MR had too much to drink and paid for it Sunday night.
