High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Graduation went well on Thursday. I got a great picture of the hat toss after graduation. MR and I went to west LA on Friday. That turned out to be very nice, along with dinner. I worked on the engine Saturday and took a bike ride Sunday. Scott M. came over with my letter on Monday night so I didn't get to the railroad club. Oh well. We had dinner with the neighbors last night downtown HB. Very good, I have the Elks fishing trip on Thursday and Dr. Starr on Friday. Saturday is AT mid-term planning meeting and Sunday we are off to Baltimore

Tonight is WHS graduation and I will read the names for the last time. It is getting a bit old and I have done it for about 20 years. The new stadium, Boswell Field, is beautiful and this is the first event held in it. It is also the 50th graduation from WHS . All-in-all a good way to finish up.

AT is going well. It seems my Road Stories are well received. Anyway I am glad to pitch in.
Even the Elks PR stuff is going well. A lot of this will be gone next year. I think it is time for me to move on with other things.

The engine is very quiet this summer. We have no trips planned and there isn't much to do.

MR and I are going back east to Delaware, Maryland, W. Virginia and Kentucky next week.

Ought to be fun.

Went to WHS for a retirement luncheon. GS is retiring. I will miss her. This is the last year for me to do the names at graduation. New stadium to use, but it is getting old. A nice weekend for us, worked on 3751 and hung out with MR later. Went to an AT board meeting. Short and sweet. PR work at the Lodge is coming along fine. Chili Cook-0ff was excellent. I have the GJA lunch today and Chooch and I got the t-shirts in Chinatown Tuesday. Busy, Busy
