August 21
We had dinner at the Ritz last night. Good meal, good company. It has been a quiet week resting between vacations. We leave for Chicago next Tuesday morning. We will rent a car and bum around for a couple of days, go to Buffalo for a wedding and bum around for a couple of days on the way back to Chicago. It out to be fun.
I went to see if I would qualify for the medical study for my eyes. I am borderline but impoving on my own. I guess that is good news. The testing took four hours and they gave me about every eye test imaginable. I even had blood tests and an EKG (turned out good).
Tomorrow I work on 3751 and hang out Sunday.

Back From Sturgis
I got back safely from Sturgis after 4050 miles on the road. We left on August 2nd and rode to Beaver Utah. Very hot ride. The next day we rode to Denver getting rained on in Vail Pass and saw a big rig accident. Very bad. We ran into Dan and the RMAH. Fun time.
We rolled north to Alliance and found out that Toad's had closed for good. Rats!
The next day we ran up to Deadwood SD and hung out with Steve Harvey. The next day was spent in Sturgis doing the usual stuff. On the third day we rode the steam train, visited Rushmore and had dinner at the Firehouse in Rapid City. A nasty storm hit Sturgis with hail and rain. We just missed it.
The next day we rode to Townsend MT on the way to Seeley Lake. Long hot ride. We ended up at Gingers's for a night. Great meal and chat.
The next day we rode to Twin Falls ID. Very hot but nice ride. From there over to Reno with dinner with Ted and Mary Ellen. NV was very hot. Lots of construction on the highways.
Finally we rode to OC on 395. Long hot ride with a low tire. All-in-all a great trip
