End of January
We got the first seven new windows replaced and the floor in the family room and halls. Looks great. We will have a new front deck door replaced this week and we are ordering all the windows for the first floor. Really exciting.
Vince and Kathy Burke will be here on Friday and we are beginning a couple of days celebration of out 45th anniversary. Wow!
The engine has three trips planned. The usual in San Berdoo, a Fullerton turn and SD in the fall. We might even be at Union Station for train days.

Inaugaration Day
MR and I are getting new flooring on the second floor so the house is a mess. We spend the day watching Obama's Inaugatation. Very moving. I think he is going to be very dfferent in his second term. All the right wingnuts are just fuming. Fox News said he should have used the speech to "reach across the aisle" That is what he tried to do for four years.
Four years ago the loonies had a dinner on inaugaration night planning to vote no on eveything. They did too, to no gain.
If they have dinner tonight I hope the meal is crow

Doing a lot around the house. We have purchased a new door for the front deck, seven windows for the front unit and MR is look for new flooring for new floors on the second floor. We are on a roll.
It doesn't look like we are going overseas this year. Have to finish up the 50 state one week bucket list goal.
Obama is on a roll also. Made significant progress on the fiscal cliff and is looking strong on the debt ceiling problem. WTF. The GOP is going nuts. They are fucking nuts anyway. You know it is under their skin that a black man kicked the shit out of the dumb moron they ran. Hilary in 2016!

The holiday season is over. We had a wonderful season with plenty of gatherings big and small. We are looking forward to our anniversary on February 3 when we are rented the railcar "Montana" and taking 14 freinds to San Diego for fun. This ought to be a real blast. Other than that nothing spectacular is going on.
We passed the fiscal cliff with Obama getting about 80% of his goals. The tea baggers are going nuts. Fuck them
