High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Great vacation in New Jersey. We hit the shore from Long Branch to Cape May with a stop in Tom's River. Found a place named Surf City and bought t-shirts. We stayed with Louise Ann and Herman, took in a Phillies game and had lunch with Jewel Rhodehouse, an old classmate. We moved off to Connecticut after riding through Brooklyn and the Bronx.. Saw Yankee Stadium. Kicked back with Joe and Marilyn in Ridgefield. Took in a Mets game at CitiField. Even rained on us. All-in-all a great week. Rereouted home through DFW. Great flights.

Very busy weekend. We started with a retirement party for Dan and a rehersal party for the nephew. On Friday we attended a renewal of vows for Bill and Barbara. Saturday I worked on 3751 in the morning and went to nephews wedding in the afternoon. After the party we crashed. On Sunday Scott and I took a MC to Joe Jost's and then went to the family picnic at Henry's. Sunday night I was really beat but stayed up to see the last episode of "Breaking Bad" and the first of a new series, "Rubicon". Seems pretty good

Today I went to the pot luck at WHS and tomorrow off to New Jersey.

Busy week. I went to nephew Mark's bachlor party on Saturday and to the gun show on Sunday. Tuesday is election day and the whole world is holding it's breath. The mess in the gulf is not getting any better. BP is in real trouble as they are trying to manipulate the web with their BS. Screw them!

I have been working on my layout and each day it is getting better. I have put in a couple of sidings and am planning one more based on a foundry kit I found. It has to be soldered together but it doesn't look all that hard. It gives a good reason for scrap cars and wire loads.

Our nephew gets married Saturday and we have a party on Sunday. The rehersal dinner is Wednesday and AT tonight. We pick up Sissy tomorrow at LAX.

Our MC trip to the east coast is forming up and we leave for NJ in a week

MR returned OK with here mother. Big family doings next week with a nephew's wedding and a renewal of vows. I have been working on the model railroad and it is coming along fine. I got several buildings and have finished that last sidings for a brewery.

I rode my motorcycle over the weekend and am ramping up for a cross-country trip at the end of June. We hope to get to North Carolina and the Atlantic Ocean.
