High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Mary Rose and her sisters returned Friday niight from Oregon. They had a great time. They might do this annually. We got an invitation from Joe and Marilyn to visit them in Florida. We are going to look into it. Might also look up Ted and Mary Ellen.

Saturday was an all day workout on the throttle of 3751. No joy. Sunday I rode with AT out to Indio for the Date Festival. I had a date milk shake. Delicious!

MR and her sisters took the train to Portland OR and spent two days there. They had a real great time. Tonight they are catching the return train to LA and getting to SA late tomorrow night.

Not much has been going on here. The weather is fine and all seems well. We got hit heavy in income taxes this year but we had a fabulous year last year for income

I am taking some boiler classes at Sempra Energy and on line. We will see where that is going.

The LA Kings are choaking big time. They blew a three game lead tow nights ago and got blown out last night.

I went to a boiler class on Thursday. It was very interesting. I am going to take the water class on March 1.

Yesterday was my BD and MR and I went to Morton's Steak House. Very pricey, but very good meal. I had a glass of 30 year-oold scotch. It was quite good.

We have the plumber coming out tomorrow to replace five valves, and especially the one behine the refrigerator. MR wants a new refrigerator and dish washer.

MR and I had a great dinner at Yamashiro for our 44th anniversary. We drove up and had a ball. Didn't drink much.

Have been cleaning out the firebox for the annual inspection on 3751. I took a little over one full day.

I am taking a boiler class tomorrow to learn about economical useage of a boiler.
