End of December
Really been a busy month. We have attended 15 different parties or events. I will be glad when the month is over. I racked up almost 300 volunteer hours on the 3751. Next year will be more.
The economy still is in the tank. We have three weeks with GWB and then it is an all new game.
The Yankees spent a fortune on two pitchers and a first-baseman. This ought to be an interesting season.
We had dinner with Bob and Sandy McC. last night in Commerce CA of all places. They are here on a tour for the Rose Parade. I think I'll watch it on the tube.

Xmas 2008
We have had a lot of rain lately and it is good. It is raining today. We started the day at the dog park with coffee and Bailey's. We are going to C&C for gift exchange and to D&G for dinner. Yesterday I met Nancy B. at Joe Jost's for the annual beer and special. She looks very good and has had a much better year. We went over to the Lodge for the egg nog and spent Xmas Eve at home with a fire and gifts.
We have a quiet week ahead and that will be good.

December 16
Great weekend last weekend. We went to the Lodge on Friday and the AH party on Wednesday. Sunday was the Lodge kids Xmas party which MR helped and I rode the mc to the Skid Row Toy Run. We had 15-20 bikes, a lot of toys and a check for $300o. A real good day. Afterward we rode to The Office in Torrance and King Neptune's in Sunset Beach. It was a cool day and that night we really had a rain storm
About 1.3 inches of rain fell in HB and the temp is way down. Winter is here.
Tally couldn't go to the DP yesterday and was in a snit. She busted the gate to the back yard last night. It took me two hours to repair it.
This weekend is the Turtle Rock party. Ought to be good.

December 7
We had a nice week. We rode out to inferno gulch and spent two days with the Maccarthy's We spent one day four-wheeling and crossing Christmas Tree Pass in NV. Tough road. We saw some petroglifs (sic) in the canyon.
The economy is in the tank. Big unemployment numbers and a lot of problems with the car makers. Obama really has his work cut out.
MR is going though a series of tests. Seems she has broken bones in her back. Tackled by the dog, no doubt.
We went to the railroad club Christmas party last night . It was a lot of fun. Even singing the 12 Days of Xmas. Go figure.
We are buttoning up the 3751 for the winter. We have a few things to clean up such as the drifter valves and throttle.
