High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

It has been an interesting week. On Friday I set up Ron's computer for email. That is a load off my mind. On Sat/Sun I kicked back taking a short ride to Mother's on the FXR. Monday night I went to the RR club for some good operation. This week on the GJ was quiet. JAS and I took in one interview in DP. All the interviews are finished. We have three more meetings and we can finish the study. Tuesday Lodge was OK. We are in for new kitchen and maybe air-conditioners. Time will tell.

Last night MR, Mo and Sue McG and I went to the Rolling Stone's concert at Dodger Stadium. Fantastic! You are never "shorted" at a RS concert. We left at 4 pm on what was a potential freeway nightmare. Good luck and we got there about 5:30. We brought 2 pizzas and 6 bottles of wine. A neat tailgate party until the opener Bonnie Raite. We knocked off three bottles before and one after the concert. It took more than an hour to get out of the parking lot, but once we did we were ok. All-in-all a great night. Mo's mom is really ill. Hope for the best

Well the Democrats carried Congress. The ball is in their court. This will be an interesting two years. MR and I rode with the AHOC out to Inferno Gulch last weekend. Nice ride out, better ride back. We took the road through Amboy and 29 Palms. No traffic. The meal at the Maccarthy's was great! The GJ has settled down into a routine. I can see the end of one study within a month. The Lodge still sucks! I finally got Ron's computer to work. yeaaa! We are having Jo Anne and her husband Bob over for cocktails on Saturday night before we go to dinner. This ought to be interesting. I went over to WHS yesterday for the potluck lunch. Real nice day. Good to see everyone. Lot's of Christmas parties coming up.

Fuck Bush and his running dog brain-dead neo-con assholes. MR did a great job on the wine tasting Sunday. Made about $3700 profit. This is the single most profitable gig all year! Sorry they are going to lose us. Time for a sabatical. THe GJ is the same. I will be witnessing the vote count tonight. Lost in softball last night. Not a good season. Winter is here and a vacation is needed. We ride to the river this weekend. Hope the weather holds.

Really a rotten week at the Lodge. We spent Saturday and Monday going over the contract. It seems the Wedding group had upped their bid substansially. The GJ is ok. We have some really boring work to do. I can't discuss it, ubt ZZZZZzzzzz is the word. The wine tasting is Sunday. This ought to be our last gig. MR and I are retiring from the Lodge. I am really bummed out on a lot of shit.
