Rainy Friday
It is the day after Thanksgiving and it is raining out. We can use it. MR is at the bank straightening out a mess they made of a withdrawal. I will work out and relax today.
The holiday season is upon us and shopping is in order.
MR has been killing herself trying to get free business class tickets to Portugal. No joy. It looks like we will buy BC tickets on Delta.
Off we go!

Fifty years ago today I was working at Welding and Steel Fabrication Co. in Tonawanda NY. As was the usual custom, the owner Frank L. would had out the weekly paychecks after lunch. He usually had a lame joke to tell as he walked around the shop.
When he handed me my check he said "The President has been shot". I looked at him dumbly waiting for the punch line. Then he went on to others.
About 30 minutes later all the welding machines in the plant suddenly began to shut down. Welders all over flipped up their hoods cursing who shut off their machine. The foreman Walt R. had pulled the 440 breaker and called over the crew.
Frank L. said "President Kennedy is dead. He was shot in Dallas". It was very quiet in that shop and finally Frank said, "Lets go home" It was about 2 pm and we left. My dad and I stopped at Mil-Sher bowling alleys on the way home to watch television. The place was mobbed and we left after a while. The road home was jammed with cars as a lot of people were going somewhere.
I went to the M&T bank to cash my check later. On Fridays it was usually jammed with long lines to the tellers as most were cashing their checks. The lines usually were full of chatter but today it was almost dead silent.

November 15
It has been relatively quiet around here. We went on a brunch run with American Thunder. My miles are piling up. I have been watching the hot stove league wondering about Cano. He wants the moon but I don't think the Yanks will give it to him. Time will tell.
We are practicing with the acyetiline torch tomorrow at Rendondo. I was asked if I wanted to serve another three years as director. One more time.

Nov 5
Went to the USMC birthday party last night with CH. A very nice time. MR is working on getting business class tickets to Lisbon and Barcelona for next years cruise. It is going to be fairly cheap.
We are now on standard time so we are not having to go to the dog park in the dark for a while.
Havn't heard from the sheriff on my gun permit.
Yanks extend qualifying offers to Cano, Grandy and Karoda.
