End of February
We had a lot of rain last week but the weather is real nice now. I worked on 3751 Saturday before the rain came. Sunday the swap meet was washed out but the CCW dinner was fun. On Monday I went to the railroad club. That was fun as was the potluck at WHS on Tuesday. Ran into Mike G. from the baseball team. He is still pitching. Stopped in to see Candace and the crew. All-in -all a nice day. Sue McG. is in from Nashville and we went downtown for dinner at the Aloha Grill. Ran into Linda and Kitty. Wine tasting coming up. I have a busy day with Elks pictures to be taken tonight at the Boys and Girls club, a range shoot and the fish tank needs to be cleaned. The Russian is coming along fine.

Busy time
We were supposed to go to Inferno Gulch to see the Macs but Carolin broke her leg and that washed it out. Pam W. passed away on the 18th. She really fought the good fight, but the cancer finally got her. Really sad.
I went to the 3751 group on Saturday and helped reassemble the valve gear on the left side. The combination lever fit fine. On Sunday I took a short mc ride. Nothing special.
Monday we took Sis and Melissa for a harbor tour. Rode the red cars in San Pedro and had lunch at Joe Jost's. Family over for chili that night.
On Tuesday MR and I went to LA for lunch with Nan A. We ate at The Palm across from Staples Arena. Very nice.
All-in-all very busy. We are filling out our visa appications for Russia

I had an interesting weekend, starting with a day with the 3751 group at the Amtrak facility in LA. I emptied the drip pan, cleaned out the oily ballast and helped disassemble the left side valve gear. Dirty work but fun.
On Sunday I took a ride to Lifestyles for a gathering. Great turnout.
Monday was my birthday and MR took me to lunch at the Santa Fe Importers. I had a great meatball sandwich. Monday night was range night at Evan's. That was fun also.
Tuesday I went to two doctors for checkups. I am fine. Afterward MR and I bought a new camera and lens for the trip to Russia. All-in-all a good week.

Good Weekend
On Saturday I went to LA to join the SBRHS group working on 3751 at the Amtrak facility. It was really fun. MR and I went to Duke's for our anniversary dinner. Excellent! On Sunday we went to the Elks Lodge for the Super Bowl game and party. Great game!!! The only thing about the Lodge event is you couldn't hear the game or commercials. I doubt if we will do it again.
Last week I passed my driver's license eye test. All is well there
MR and I went 32 days without a drink of alcohol. Very good. We had a few at the Super Bowl party but that was it. On Monday I went to lunch with a group of GJ members. Real nice time.
No drinking there.
