Visitation
The Sunday gig worked out fairly good. Most of the staff appeared and the community support was very good. NB is in a nasty mood today. A tad of sweat on her brow. We have a busy week. I didn't sleep all that well today. I have a late softball game tonight. Far too many 9 pm games. I got to ride both M/Cs over the weekend. I have 350 miles on the new one. I will need to get up to 500 next weekend and then I can air it out. MR is in a good mood. Wednesday end it all.

Rain
It has been raining for seven straight days. We are nearing an all-time record for rain in the LA basin. Joe and Marilyn spent the weekend with us and it was great. MR cooked up some great meals, and we talked late. Great fun. We went to the Huntington Museum and Library on Saturday, had dinner at Buca de Pepa in the kitchen, and visited Ports of Call on Monday. Too much to drink this weekend.
The WASC visit is next weekend. I hope that goes well. Once that is over I need to wrap up the VATEA account. 77 day left.

Busy Times
Work is heating up with discussions on budgets etc. Long meetings with heavy discussion and polemics, rhetoric and general BS. The house has come together nicely with the new furniture. MR is really pleased. The Big Kiss chair is awesome. Great place to snore. I need to ride the bike more, but rain is forecast. I got a NKP sleeper and diner to complete a train. I need a few 12 bdrm sleepers for the 20th Century, a dome obs for the Canadian and a streamlined coach for the PRR train.

Anniversary
A big day today for MR and I. The new furniture is supposed to arrive and it is our anniversary. I have to go to a stupid meeting that will drone on forever and accomplish nothing.
The new student teacher seems to have a grip on the job. That is good. The classes seem to be ok also. The absolute last start of a career. This weekend I am going to rack up some miles on the hog and go to a super bowl party. The LEP class has calmed down now that a few of the noisy students have moved on. I am in a good mood. All seems well, which scares me.
