High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

I have been off all week. Very productive time. Last weekend I rode on AT's Passed Out Directors run and had Jennifer Gallagher as a passenger. She emailed for permission from MR and it was fine. She even sent a thank-you card. I rode the FXR on Sunday to Cook's and stopped at Mother's. On Monday I played softball and we won big. I went 2 for 4 and had 5 rbi. Tuesday was installation night. It was fine. Wednesday I went to the Whistle Stop and LA Harley to pick up the 20th Century Limited and my bike. Expensive but fine.
Today I worked out and had lunch with Dan and Gay and MR at Chimayo's. Took a nap later. Real nice week. My last "spring break". Big weekend with the run to Palm Springs. More later

This week finishes up a couple of jobs. The VATEA grant is over on Friday, albeit with changes in direction. I must realize that this is no longer my concern, particularly after June 17. The furniture and technology inventory/upgrades is also well in hand.

MR and I are looking forward to the spring break. I need a couple of days off to reflect on the future. It sounds like an idea of Dick P's has merit. SRA Consulting is a distinct possibility. At least it is good for the write-offs!

I rode out to Bonsal on Sunday with MR and BB. Nice trip and the food was good. I need about 150 miles to get my 1000 so I can move on with the bike. I have not heard from SS or STRS but that should take place soon.

All seems to be well.

I had a great weekend. I rode both bikes after going to Palm Springs for a couple of days at a workshop. A few good ideas on small computers was the result. Odd women at PS. I took Monday off to go to the Ritz Bros. Very nice. I took in two meetings today. One at the beginning of work and one at the end. Dave R was in from Berkeley. Dave P. was my guest at the lunch. Real nice. I have a game tonight at 9pm. It is the last 9pm game I have this season.

I have booked into Sturgis for 3 nights. I don't know what or who is riding or staying, but I am there from the 9th to the 12th. Hangin', Kickin', and Chillin'!

The WASC went OK. I was so tired on Wednesday I took the rest of the week off. I went out with Stafford on Friday checking out all the railroads in LA. On Saturday and Sunday I took the bike out for rides, knocking off the Last 175 miles. I now have over 500 miles on the hog and can ride it on the Freeway. I have a doubleheader tonight, Lodge tomorrow night, the doctor on Wednesday. Busy times. I only have 68 days left. I got my receipt from STRS and handed in my resignation last Wednesday. Nothing left to do but run out the clock.
