High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Here it is, the summer is half over and I am finally forgetting work. Odd dreams about people I havn't seen in years. When to the BW for a couple last night and had a nice time. The roofers are here today and it is noisy as hell. It will be finished though. I have the bike ready to go to Sturgis. Just a few odds and ends to take care of . We got the rugs cleaned and the rooms look great. All this is bs but all-in-all life is good. I heard from STRS yesterday and they underestimated my retirement by $300 a month. Ooops!. I'll take it though. The house is looking great. I have to finish a bathroom or two and look at replacing the shingle siding with stucco and stacked stone. Maybe I'll do it in two phases. A little research is necessary. Time to take a shower

It has been a busy week again!! We won a doubleheader last Monday night and we are definately in the hunt this season. Lodge Tuesday was boring as hell, as usual. I rode up to Cook's for the Wednesday bike night. Saw JG there. Thursday was AT night. I ran into Wendy and Betty and hung out. Dean Tanji gave a great show on IB riding.
I hung out on Friday and went to LA on Saturday. Rode the subway to Hollywood and downtown for lunch. Nice time. When to C&C's for dinner Sat night. Sunday I finished the CHOC ride poker run. It was hot up at Cook's as usual.
Today is chore day.

It has been a hectic two weeks. The 4th was over the top here in HB. We hung out in the neighborhood visiting the Goode's block party and dinner next door. All-in-all a fun time. MR went to visit her mom in NY and I am hanging out. Went to the Mooning on Saturday and ran into DH. Looking good! The Mooning was the usual "ten bucks or tits", with number of girls saving their money. On Sunday I helped JG set up a poker run for CHOC. Rode all over OC looking for routes and stops. Hot as hell. Cook's was full of bikes. I havn't been up there in a long time. I ran into an ex-student, Sara Duke, there. Class of '00. Nice chat. Today I have a lunch at the Ritz with the Brothers. Doubleheader softball game tonight. Lodge tomorrow, AT Thursday etc. etc. Busy as hell.
