Torre's gone!
Big changes in store for the Yankees. Joe Torre quit, ARod opted out, Giradi's in. I wonder what Mariano and Jorge will do. Lot's of holes to fill.
I am feeling much better. My weight is done and I am sleeping great. Really on the mend.
I rode the FXR on Saturday and fixed the XM satellite radio on the FLHTC. Good day.
The World Series was an absolute bore. The Red Sox killed the Rockies.
We lost in softball with eight players. The end is in sight.
Lots of change in the air.

On the mend
I am definately on the mend from my surgery. I have been on the treadmill four of the last five days and feel good. I am sleeping like never before.
It is as hot as hell here with the Santa Ana's and all the smoke from the fires. We tried to call Linda and Dana but there is no response. I hope their house is OK.
It was a nice weekend. I rode the jeep a bit and went to an AH party at the Shepard's That night we went to a wine tasting that was great. Tri-tip to boot!
No softball last night because of the winds, so I went to the RR club and ran trains for an hour or so. Hot up there too.
Should be a quiet week. The Indians folded again the RedSox . Rats ! Go Rockies

A miserable weekend
That flu that kept me down last week, wasn't the flu at all, but a badly inflected gall bladder. I had it removed on Saturday at Hoag. I never saw so many saline solutions, antibiotics, blood test, and vital signs test in my life! Probbed, stuck, rolled-over, sweated, chilled and great institutional food. Spaghetti withgreen beans in the sauce. Yikes!! I thoought I would lose 10 pounds, rather gaining one. Must be all the water they dumped into me. I am on the mend though, and a week or so and I will be good to go.

End of an era
The Yanks lost last night and we will probably see the end of Joe Torre. There are a number of free agents also. This could mean a few down years for the Yanks. The local teams all lost over the weekend; USC, UCLA, Kings, Ducks and Angels. The BC got clocked in softball 18-1. My stomach is acting up over all the angst. Not good.
MR is off to Florida next week. I hope this problem rectifies itself.

We lost at softball last night. We are not really in to in this season. It has been a quiet week and weekend for us. The new dog, Tally, is a pain. Just when you think she is mellowing out, she goes off the reservation. I can see why she was returned a number of times.
MR is painting the Christmas card painting. It is turning out fine. I have finsihed placing all the switch machines on the layout. The next step is wiring it. This will be a problem.
