High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

Watched a day night doubleheader yesterday and the Yanks won both.  Ichero had seven hits and four stolen bases.  He carried the team.  It will be interesting to see what the village idiot does with the lineup now.

Tomorrow the space shuttle Endeavor will fly over HB.  MR and I will take pictures.  We are gearing up for the trip to Illinois for the wedding.  Hope it will be fun.

Watching the Yankees play for the last month is torture.  They really stink.  I wonder what will happen in the off season.  Certainly hope they are going to make a radical change.  The minors are bare so Cashman will have to plug the holes with the usual garbage.  Hopefully the Yanks have a horrible season next year with close to 100 loses.  This will wake up management as the fans wll not show up.  Instead of 40K showing maybe 18K show up.  Big hit in the wallet.  The SB bros will have to rebuilt the franchise or take the heat from the city .  All in all the future looks grim

August was a very busy month for us.   The weather was hot and muggy for the longest time.  Very unpleasant.  We got a dog to hang with Tally, a shepard mix we named Casey.  He is a lovely dog, very affectionate and fits right in

We went to Reno to celebrate the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Ted and Mary Ellen.  We had to sleep on a fold out bed and my back ws killing me for a week.   We drove to Las Vegas from Reno to attend Lisa Santa Cruz' wedding.  It was a great time. 

We have laid low for the Labor Day weekend and heard some very sad news about friends.  It was not pleasant.

Kyle and Jess had their first baby, Kyle Jr. born on September 2, 2012 at 1:18 pm. for the eternal record.

Next is a trip to Illinois for a family wedding
