Another Loss
My cousin Joel passed away Saturday night. He was suffering from cancer and menengeitis. He is the third family member to pass since October and the fifth person since September that was close to me. I guess this happens in life.
We poured the slab at Redondo Jct. on Saturday. Next step is the fire up of 3751 for the Amtrak Christmas train. The politics of the SBRHS is happening. Seems that Bob has issues with a number of people on the board. This isn't good for morale
The Bills and Kings are letting me down as far as winning. The Kings are only 1 point out of first place in the Western division but have not jelled yet.
The Bills started off 4-1 and are now 5-6. They have gone 1-5 in their last six games. Not good

Foaming
I chased UP 844 with young Winston on Thursday. I havn't chased steam in years. It was a good day.
We are about ready to pour concrete at Redondo Jct. We got all the dobies and frames in place. Hopfully we move the baggage car on Friday and pour Saturday. On we move.
We are going to be at LAUS on December 10 and 11. Lots of work to do.

Novewmber 15
It hasn't been a good fall for friends and relatives of mine. I lost my cousim Babs and brother-in-law Richie. My friend Bob passed in September and I found out that the kid who lived next door to my, Henry Mullen passed Oct 2. Now a friend and neighbor Don Goode passed Sunday.
He was a great old guy and good neighbor. He lived on the street since 1947. He had his share of ups and downs but he was always a good guy.

Monday Nov 7
Not much going on. I worked for 3 hrs at Redondo. I had plenty of work to catch up on. MR is still in Buffalo. She is spending time with her mother. She attended the funeral for Rich on Thursday. I could tell she is really worn down. She comes home on Wednesday.
Tonight is railroad club night, but I think I will go to a meeting in Santa Ana.
It rained a bit over the weekend. The weather is cool.

November 2
I dropped off MR at LAX this morning for a flight to Buffalo. She is going to see here mother and also attend the services for Rich, our brother-in-law. He passed suddenly on Sunday. He was a great guy and will be missed.
The Yanks signed CC for 6 years. Should be OK. The McCourts are going to sell the Dodgers. They are up to their noses in debt.
