High Iron and Rollin' Thunder

It has been a couple of weeks since I logged on. I received some training in Fullerton on the 17 & 18. It was ok. On the 15th we took Alexi to Hwood on MetroLink and the subway. She had a great time. The next day was the GG Elks wine tasting. They were fine but didn't get the turnout we did. OC Catering had a deal on the 20th that was great. We went out for dinner twice last weekend. We rode to Cardiff-by-the-Sea on Saturday. The traffic was miserable. Bumper-to-bumper all the way. Nice lunch though with Linda and Dana. On Sunday night we went to the Ritz with a group. Fun time. This week the job is getting interesting. I have to get my new suit this weekend. The Lodge is a pain. It seems that nothing works well with that place.

I sure have been in a lot of meetings lately. Meet, meet and more meet. I rode the MC to the Mooning with Mo last Saturday. That was a lot of fun. Boob city. On Sunday, MR and I took a ride. I had a bit of a problem at the Lodge with an individual sticking his nose in my Trustee business. I think I solved that. Cousin Steve came out for a couple of days. We caught up and had a lot of fun. I am in more training next week in Fullerton. I hope it is good and interesting. This weekend we are taking niece Alexis to Hwood and Sunday we are going to a wine tasting at the GG Elks. Monday is softball. We are doing OK there, having beaten the #1 team on Monday. How about that sports fans!. Today is the anniversary of my coming to CA and my first steam engine ride on 6034. Time flies when you are having fun.

A lot has happened in the last several days. Bob H. and I drove to Denver in his truck pulling a trailer with Dean and Cathy's furniture. On the first day we made it to Green River, UT and the next into Denver. We dropped off the trailer and holed up in a Motel 6 near I-70. Noisy as hell, but the Village Inn was great for food. We returned for the trailer the next day, but had to put some of the furniture in storage and pick up Burnie's MC trailer. All-in-all a busy day. We left the next day at 6 am for Beaver UT. We drove 13 hours to get there and holed up in the usual place with the stream running though it. We drove the next day to LA area and dropped off the trailer in Buena Park. The I-15 to Vegas was packed. Really a mess. I got home and crashed in my chair.

On Sunday I took the FXR for a ride to Mother's and the Huddle. All the group was there. Nice time. I fell asleep again in my chair.

On Monday I was sworn in on the GJ. Here comes a life change.
